Justin Tadlock 2 years ago If a custom post type is added by hand or from a plugin, can the microdata be used with the custom posts in some way (presuming the plugins don’t implement microdata). The Hybrid Core framework has an attribute system built in that Stargazer uses. So, there are many places where you can add/alter those attributes. That’s on the theme level anyway. It really depends on the plugin and what sort of control it hands over to the theme in terms of output. If the post types are similar to posts/pages in terms of functionality, it shouldn’t be difficult to change things as needed. It provides a layout and functionality which I could use on the new site, not for the front page, but certainly within the site for some pages. Would it be suitable for use within Stargazer? Not at all. Hybrid News was an old child theme of the original Hybrid parent theme. Your best bet would be to build a custom front-page.php or page template for that.
