Menu Responsive design

  1. Hi,

    I’v developed a child theme based on Stargazer for my own use. Before changing my theme I wanted to start from a clean Wordpress installation, so I installed WP, Stargazer and my child theme, it looked alright, but after I noticed that on tablet or smartphone view, the menu was not displayed (It was on my old Plugin Cluttered Installation). So after searching for a long time, I noticed that I did not only have the problem on my child theme, but also on Stargazer.

    I searched what could be wrong (corrupted theme upload, error in console, browser, https, etc.) but did not find anything.

    The broken menu is visible on https://dev2.asvd.ch/ the working one (with child theme) https://dev.asvd.ch/

    If someone knows what could be wrong, I would be thankful.

    This code is coming from a plugin called “Tribe Events” that you have installed, from this file: https://dev2.asvd.ch/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/resources/css/tribe-events-full.min.css?ver=4.3.3

    `
    .screen-reader-text {
    clip: rect(1px,1px,1px,1px);
    height: 1px;
    overflow: hidden;
    position: absolute!important;
    width: 1px;
    word-wrap: normal!important;
    }
    `

    The problem is that the plugin is overwriting the `.screen-reader-text` class, which is a standard WordPress class designated for themes to add styles for. The only way to correct this is to remove the code from that file or have the plugin author update the plugin to not overwrite theme-designated CSS classes. I’ll be happy to talk to the plugin author about it if you could put them in touch with me.

    Thanks for your fast reply, I will try to put the “Event Calendar” authors in touch with you.
