image styles for the new editor / stargazer

  1. theme support for alignwide appears to have changed [since your post]
    (https://themehybrid.com/weblog/align-wide-and-full-classes)
    to

    function turkey_setup() {
      add_theme_support( 'align-wide' );

    }

    would you mind sharing the styles you would add for Stargazer, considering the various layouts available?

    BTW are there themes available for public use built using mythic? (that you are aware of)
    I’d be really keen to tryout.
    thanks

    I wouldn’t use these styles with Stargazer necessarily, except maybe with the one-column layout, which I’d do exactly how I described in the post. Align wide and full wouldn’t work with the other layouts.

    Here’s my base Sass that I use:

    .alignfull,
    .alignwide {
        margin-left  : calc( -100vw / 2 + 100% / 2 );
            margin-right : calc( -100vw / 2 + 100% / 2 );
        width:        auto;
        max-width:    100vw;
    }

    @media( min-width: content-width() ) {

        .alignwide {
            margin-left  : -25%;
            margin-right : -25%;
            max-width    : calc( #{ content-width() } + 50% );
            }
    }

    content-width() should be replaced with the width of the content, such as 600px, for example.

    I don’t know of any public themes using Mythic yet. Most folks are using it for client/personal work at the moment. I’m working on a theme, but it’s a long way from being ready.
