Getting Started

Using the Hybrid theme should be pretty straightforward. For the sake of thoroughness, here are the instructions for getting the theme to work:

Installing the Hybrid theme

  • Download the Hybrid theme (I’m assuming you’ve done this already).
  • Unzip the folder you downloaded.
  • Upload the hybrid folder to your /wp-content/themes directory.

Your directory structure should look like this:

/wp-content
	/themes
		/hybrid

Activating the Hybrid theme

If you’re installing a child theme, don’t activate Hybrid.

  • Login into WordPress dashboard (administration).
  • Click on the Themes link (may be Appearance or Design in some WP versions).
  • Click on the screenshot for Hybrid.
  • Cick on “Activate Hybrid” (WP 2.6+).

The next steps

Hybrid will be ready to go at this point. However, there are some other steps you might want to take, such as setting up widgets and your Hybrid theme settings.
