Getting Started

Setting up the Hybrid Original theme should be easy. Before you do any of the below, you need to download and install (not activate) the Hybrid theme.

Here are the instructions for getting the theme to work:

Installing the Hybrid Original theme

  • Download the Hybrid Original theme (I’m assuming you’ve done this already).
  • Unzip the folder you downloaded.
  • Upload the hybrid-original folder to your /wp-content/themes directory.

Your directory structure should look like this:

/wp-content
	/themes
		/hybrid-original

Activating the Hybrid Original theme

Since you’re installing a child theme, don’t activate Hybrid. You need to activate the Hybrid Original theme.

  • Login into WordPress dashboard (administration).
  • Click on the Appearance link (may be Themes or Design in some WP versions).
  • Click on the screenshot for Hybrid Original.
  • Cick on “Activate Hybrid Original” (WP 2.6+).
