restrict role: that only 1 page can be edited by one user - members plugin

  1. Hi Justin,

    I have a problem :

I have this page (not private) called 'appelmans', which should be updated by one user only (with specific role).

I created the capability ‘edit-appelmans-page’. But it doesn’t work.
(Only when I select also capability 'edit_other_pages' it works.. but ofcours, this is not what I need, it makes all the others pages editable too.

Is there any post or thread with a sollution, or guidelines?
I have been searching but dont find anything like it.

    Thanks!
    Diederik

  3. Alternative: use a plugin that offers user-by-category access management. I.e., one that allows setting that specific page to a special category, then give that user exclusive access privs to that category, done.

  4. What about the second question here? Is it possible to make a category only visible to users with a certain capability or role?

  6. Ahh that was just how I read what Álvaro Degives-Más wrote :-) But I'll give your solution a go, thanks.
