Please set your topics as "Resolved"

  2. I think this is a great idea, but I would also think that you would have more people doing it, if it was colorcoded: http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/support-forum

  3. If possible in bbPress, maybe you can have a big noticeable div appear after the most recent post that reminds people to mark items as resolved? This would only show up if that person can mark the item as resolved (again, if possible).

    I've only had two posts I can mark as resolved, and I've remembered to mark them both - but only after seeing other forum posts marked as [resolved]. It's kind of "out of sight" once you scroll past the right column's Topic Info area. And it doesn't really stand out all that much in the Topic Info box, as is. So maybe even highlighting that would help.

    li#resolution-flipper { background-color: #cc0000 }

  4. Also in line with what Thomas mentioned, it looks like the tr tags get a class of resolved if they're resolved, so it might make things even easier for you, visually, when scanning, if you use css to style these differently.

  6. Green versus red! like so: http://forums.developdaly.com

  7. While I use icons I don't really like them either (and I haven't gotten around to changing it). They work well, but aren't quite as seamless.

    I think you could just washout the resolved topics. Gray background, gray links -- so that you can scan past them.

    But to differentiate between unresolved topics and non-support topics you could just change the topic title of unresolved ones to a washed out red color (i.e. #C0665F).

  8. I was just over at the Themeshaper forums and I noticed that unresolved items are simply marked as [unresolved]. Maybe just adding that would be a reminder to users to mark their items as resolved.

  9. I tried to set my last topic to resolved, but i'm not given the option.

  11. I did my part.

    Fwiw, I'm with Kyle D. I see the occasional [Resolved] here and it doesn't say to me "go mark yours as resolved too". Seeing [Unresolved] would. Especially if [Unresolved] had a washed out red background.

  12. I think I posted in support - it is resolved.... but I am NOT seeing how to make it resolved.....

    I AM trying to be a good new member....

  14. I've posted a couple posts today and the first one I had that option and after it was resolved I marked it as such, however, I'm no longer seeing the dropdown box. Where'd it go?

  15. if you started a general discussion it will not be there

  16. ...and the drop down is back. Don't know why it was missing but apparently it's "Resolved" now.
