Members plugin or another idea

  1. Happy 2010.
Justin, im using the members plugin on my site and I was wondering if there is some way to make ads disappear, when they login?

Im am/was using who see ads plugin, however when i looked at the source it would show the source, right down until the widget of who see ads in the sidebar, and then the rest would cut of, so im afraid it might be affecting the seo of my site, but im not sure about it. Do you get my point?

What I want is to display google ads in the sidebar for non logged in users and users who came from search engines.

If a user is a member, then the ads will dissappear........

  2. You could do that by wrapping a widget in the function current_user_can().

  3. Ryan - oki, thanks.
sorry to sound so stupid, but can I read about that somewhere?

  4. I use this to show only logged in users is_user_logged_in('true') with widgetlogic plugin.
I would think !is_user_logged_in('true') would have the opposite effect.

  5. "show only to logged in users", is what I meant.

  6. !is_user_logged_in('true') works perfect - Thank you so much

  8. Thanks for pointing out the is_user_logged_in() function! I've been current_user_can for everything until now as I didn't know there was an alternative.
