Hey - one thing I notice is the first slide when you first visit the site or go back to the Front Page, seems to immediately slide out of view instead what I assume is that it would pause.
I checked this on the demo as well and looks like it is doing the same thing. I am using 5 sticky posts for the slider. Thanks very sweet child theme.

Thanks man... The pause in between seems fine after the first - I do have crappy bandwidth, I'll pass it on to a friend with real bandwidth .
Edit as a side note - l reduced the Featured Slider from 5 to 3 posts and it smoothed out...
