Hybrid is fantastic for SEO

  1. I just want to commend you Justin on Hybrid. So many things I love about it, and it's helped me learn more about coding, because its so fun to work with. Today I created a post on my site for clients, mainly a post about SEO. I build sites for antique dealers and I treat my site as if it were an antique site, so my post was a product, an "elegant French marble top table", in 4 hours it was on page 1 near the bottom, and "French marble top table" was first on page 8. I know this is because of the meta data added through hybrid. No other theme I've worked with has had this kind of indexing. "French side table" is on page one, number 7. I don't even have many visitors to my site but pages are being indexed well. Keep up the great work!

  3. Hi Justin, Hybrid is a very good SEO theme but if one day I will change my theme (you know, only diamonds are forever,..) I will loose every meta tags set with Hybrid theme (description, title, keywords..). If so, this is not good..

Is it correct what I say? If yes, I think that is better to use a plugin for SEO..

  5. Ok, I read the discussion.. In my opinion it should be better to release a plugin that take meta tags created with Hybrd and restore them in case you change theme..

  6. The majority of folks don't want to see a separate plugin, which is the direction I was leaning.

The majority of folks belong to the early majority, while you are an innovator ;)
There is always scepticism to change...

  8. My doubt still remain: do I have to continue to use Hybrid built-in SEO or a separate plugin for my new posts? I mean, If I was sure that Justin will release a plugin that can take meta tags set with Hybrid I will continue to use Hybrid built-in SEO.. :-)

  10. maybe my opinion was not clear.. I think that Hybrid built-in SEO is a very good thing but you have also give us the ability to re-use meta tags set with it with an other theme.. :-)
