Just did the upgrade from the wp admin. Went to look at my site and have an issue. I've got the Life Collage theme. All but the home page doesn't have the white background where the post/text is. This was there before I upgraded to the new version. Is there something that I need to change to get it back?
Thanks,
Cody

I had a customized version of Hybrid News, with the latest update of Hybrid being Hybrid 0.7.
I replaced all themes in the wp-content/themes/hybrid/ folder except for these two files:
header.php
functions.php
The reason I did that was to not lose earlier customizations. The blog looks fine.
Will that work? Or have those two files also been modified since 0.7?

Okay - I thought upgrade was just done by uploading and overwriting hybrid, didn't realize I needed to delete the old one first.
I will open a new thread on the changes soon. Would love it if I could handle this better, it is a pain every time I want to upgrade.

Right, I get it.
I will put on a default or classic theme during the upgrade, so that the blog is still accessible after the old hybrid is deleted and the new one is still uploading.

I uploaded a hybrid zip file onto word press, but not everything seems to be in the zip file. Keep getting this message: style sheet is missing and the template is missing. How do you fix this?
thanks

Newbie - I am getting the same thing as wkathome. The WP Appearance section shows broken themes at the bottom and says Hybrid News - Template is missing. Must have a stylesheet and a template. Note: The regular Hybrid options are Activate, Preview, Delete but you don't want to Activate it? How do I get Hybrid News showing to Activate?

SOLVED - I had changed the folder name of hybrid to hybrid-main so the child was not able to find it. I deleted it, unzipped a new set and had the folder as hybrid and put it into wp-content/themes. All works now. The hybrid-news theme is now on http://www.nancyr-static.nowvisions.com
Thanks. Sorry about that. Rick

Justin, what do you prefer as an upgrade method? Obviously a couple people mentioned upgrading from the wp backend and you didn't say it was wrong above, then for ftp upgrade, you prefer delete then upload new. Is that always the best way or is upgrading from the backend just as good?

oops. I broke something.
Just hit the 'upgrade' button from within wpadmin to update hybrid and this is the error I'm getting. It's probably from something I've changed, anyone got any ideas?
