You would hook your function like this:

add_action( 'hybrid_before_content', 'your_function_name', 11 );

Hi Justin,

It was at the place after the breadcrumb and before the title of the post. So, I guess it is the utility_before_content section.

I will open new threads for new questions etc.

You should probably open new topics with new questions, especially since this thread is all over the place now.

If I want to put something between the breadcrumb and title of a single post, what is the format of the add_action? and where do I add it?

It depends on exactly where you want it. The page is currently laid out like this:

Where, exactly, would you like to add something?

Many thx for the reply.

In addition, how can I change the format of things that are output by the hybrid hooks???

For example, the byline - I only want the author name to appear and not the date in one instance. Also, I want to change the wording e.g. do not want it to say 'Posted on' .. etc.

Thx

First, please don't add an

anywhere. You should make use of the
border
property in CSS instead.

Now, to add something extra to the
hybrid_before_entry
hook, we'd do something like this:

add_action( 'hybrid_before_entry', 'my_before_entry', 11 );

function my_before_entry() {

	/* Single posts only? */
	if ( is_single() )
 echo 'Helloooooooo World!';
}

I added a priority of
11
to make sure it comes after the default stuff, which is set at
10
.

Hi Justin,

If I want to make simple changes like add an
after the byline before my single post image and text, I note that the title and byline are output by :

<?php hybrid_before_entry(); // Before entry hook ?>

So, if I want to make some changes within that hook, where do I do this? Or how can I modify the output of these hooks within a child theme?

Thx
