You see - now I feel like an idiot - to think I have been using this theme for over a year. Hybrid simply puts all other themes to shame

Thank you both for all your help.

When you say 'blurb' - what exactly do you mean? You can give your category a description, and have that appear? Would that do the trick?

Thanks Justin - will seek to do so ASAP.

Any advice anyone has on adding a blurb section to the category pages would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

The drop-downs have always been compatible with IE6 if you choose to use the JavaScript drop-downs script on the Hybrid Settings page.

we are using News 0.1.1 and Hybrid 0.5.1

You need to update to Hybrid version 0.7.1 as soon as possible.

Thanks Kyle - right you are - my apologies - I should have checked the latest demo first.

However - could this be down to updated theme files? - we are using News 0.1.1 and Hybrid 0.5.1 - does anyone know which needs updating to enable the drop downs in i.e.6? We have done loads of customisation (though nothing i can think of which would affect this) - I am therefore reluctant to update.

Also any suggestions for the blurb space would be fantastic!

many thanks,

I believe I've read Justin say that the dropdowns are compatible with IE 6 - have you made any changes that might be causing problems?

Hi All,

Does anyone have a solution for displaying the Hybrid News drop down menus (which displays the sub-categories) in i.e.6 ?

Partially related - I am trying to add a custom blurb at the top of each of our parent category pages - if i was able to do this I could list the separate sub categories within said blurb - nullifying my need for the drop-downs to work in i.e.6.

Any help or suggestions any of you could provide would be much appreciated.

Justin - love your work!

Kind Regards,

Tom

P.S. In trying to search the forums for an answer I saw a great quote from Justin: "As for IE6 compatibility, I'd just drop it altogether. The only way to get some people to upgrade is to stop catering to old, insecure browsers. " Whilst I usually couldn't agree more, in this instance the blog is intended for city workers in large firms, with 40% of our visitors forced to use this heap of junk browser, so I would be grateful if anyone could help me enhance their poor ignorant viewing experience.
