I haven't promoted this plugin - called Taxonomy Picker - before so I will mention that I have just issued an update. The idea is simple. If you have added custom taxonomies for say Size, Color and Product then this query gives you a widget which allows your visitors to select Size=Medium, Color=Red and Product=T-Shirt and run the query. No coding needed (other than adding your taxonomies).
The latest version (v.1.5.2) added an options screen with a small number of useful site settings:
1) You can show counts. (I will cache this for efficiency in the next version.)
2) You can forget or remember the query - so if you "remember" and somebody has just searched for Size=Medium then the widget will start with Size=Medium selected. If you don't select "remember" then Size would start with All Items selected. Simple.
I also added a choice of text for the "All" option so you could now have it display in the example above "All Shirts", "All Sizes" and "All Colors" rather than simply "All Items".
It was of course written for my site so it is in use at http://www.egyptological.com/find if you wish to play with it. We don't have huge amounts of data yet so try something like What=Tombs and When=19th Dynasty (It's an Egyptology site.) You'll notice that also restricts it to a predefined set of Categories. Useful if you wish to restrict searches to particular sections of your site.
I need a horizontal version, preferably in a shortcode so they are my development priorities, but I do add things others requested even if I don't use them myself - like counts and naming for the All option. I want to Ajaify it as well but that will take 2 - 3 months I guess.
