I'm new to Hybrid and to theses forums, but I'm already impressed by the level of support that Justin gives, quick and to the point.

I basically customized the Skeleton theme which is a blank child theme for Hybrid.

A bit of an odd pause before the header image loads, but it looks nice. I'd rethink the image sprites for all the background images. I know this is to cut down on server calls, and is intended to speed things up (I use them all the time), but I think in this case it's only creating a bigger lag. Especially since it's a png-24 with huge chunks of empty space.

Not sure how well caching will work, but let us know when you do and I'll take a look. The image is about 400k it seems.
Like your site and your design. When I get better at design I'll start with Skeleton. Until then, I'm going to start with News.
