News theme - change of date format

   - news theme
   - wordpress persian
   - wp-jalali (plugin)

   i am using the above to create a blog in farsi (persian/iranian).

   i have managed to make all the necesary changes to have the blog in farsi, except the date. when i change the theme, the date is as should be. but on the News theme the date reverts to half english half farsi:

   on other themes the date format in farsi works perfectly = دی ۱۸, ۱۳۹۰
   but on the news theme this is what i get = ژانویه 8, 2012

   does anyone know how to make the date in the News theme show in farsi?
