How do i use Query Posts as a widget? « Community

Welcome, guest!

Feel free to read the blog, browse for themes, or join the club.

The community forums are currently being phased out. At the end of February or early March 2012, you will no longer be able to post here. This is because the entire site is being restructured. Please use the main forums for discussions.

How do i use Query Posts as a widget?

  1. I want to create a widget with the last post from a user.
    It should look like this:

    POST TITLE
    Excerpt [...]

And i need to link the post title as a permalink to the post.
I'll also be manually adding a user thumbnail linking to the user's posts and widget title manually.

I might need to use this widget more than once, for different users.

Can someone please provide me with the php code please?
If user filter is not possible, a tag or category filter could also do.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

  2. Is this a job request? If so, you need to post a way for someone to contact you. I can move it to the job request forum for you. You posted this in the ideas forum.

  3. if it's for category, i think i can do that... (maybe for user too)
and i seriously need a job.
