custom Cat landing page template help required

   I am looking for some assistance in creating a custom Cat landing page that will list text [like a page] the list sub-cats [linked to their landing page] the list the cat's direct post titles [only titles linked to posts]

   I have more details on request but have had some issues trying to mash this together via plugins and such.

   Thanks but I think I have sorted this out with some additional theme tempaltes and a few mods.
