For a variety of reasons I'm strongly considering converting some of my Thesis sites to "the Justin Tadlock way." So, I'm exploring the idea now. I could do it myself, but it would take me a while because I'm not very familiar with the Hybrid approach, and I'm just a so-so-developer.
Since it's Thesis, and there is a custom functions file, perhaps it's not as big a job as I first was thinking.
The site that is far easier to convert would be VirtualProfessors.com. You'll see it looks like the Outline theme. That's because I began with that theme in mind, when it was in beta, and I had to get it up before Outline was final, so I switched over to the familiar Thesis halfway through. I have custom taxonomies working in this, and have some custom meta description stuff for them going on. Other than that, it's pretty simple.
The more complex site is IHateTheMedia.com. It's a very high traffic site with 3700 articles. It's got lots of custom functions stuff going on, but nothing not easy for any good developer to figure out.
On both of them, one thing that concerns me is the SEO fields I've set up in Thesis. If I convert, they will be lost. I can't have that, so is there a way to convert the data to All-in-one SEO, or built-in SEO fields? I cna't miss anything on the SEO I've set up.
Looking for comments/rough estimates by any experienced ThemeHybrid developer that might be interested in taking on one or both.
To contact me, there is a contact form on both of my sites. Either will reach me.
