Colours/styles of each section section and static block option

  1. I think it would be nice if you could click on some options in the options panel that would let you choose:

    colors andor styles of
    - excerpt blocks (background, text size, header style , link colours, colour of text, line spacing, padding, etc)
    - feature blocks (background, text size, header style , link colours, colour of text, line spacing, padding, etc)
    - general page style except the above (background, text size, header style , link colours, colour of text, line spacing, padding, etc)
    - header section (background, text size, header style , link colours, colour of text, line spacing, padding, etc)
    - footer section style (background, text size, header style , link colours, colour of text, line spacing, padding, etc)

under the feature and excerpts i added my own static section. i can add multiple "blocks" in there via html i input there, but instead, what about adding to the options page like an empty checkbox with an antry place for html, check and activate it, it makes a block, you can add up to say - 1 to10 and be able to control which pages they show up on.

in visionary i am not a fan of the page refreshing and i have to click to get to where i was if i want to edit it right after saving. i would rather not have that happen and jus tthe sections slide and stay slid (open) but thats just me.

anwyay, that is my 2 cents.

  3. Well, I can see the part where it would defeat the purpose.. but I also thought it would be nice to be able to edit the different colours on the fly from the options page in the theme. I did do it via the style sheet and child theme... but instead of just clicking a square and choosing a colour I wanted for each in the options, I had to hand code it. Yes, I made the effort, I was merely suggesting it to make it.. easier and different than other themes.

(you can see where I edited it to change the colours.. the pages drop down menu across the middle top is now a darker background, the red I have substituted #66000.. and I have made some other changes... so you can see I did follow it that way.. I just thought it would be neat to choose headers, colours, backgrounds, etc on the fly.. it would be different, very handy, very useful. I hope you can tell though that I am in no way against editing it on my own. - ie the footer which Is still incomplete too)

  4. I would also have to parrott this for the options theme. I like the theme.. but analogous colour like that needs contrast for headers and links, and multiple styles for links. As the other one, I can do it.. but it takes time learning different themes and creating different child themes. This is one feature that I think might could go across the board for multiple themes, but again, only my 2 cents.

  6. I do see what you mean. There really isnt a way to do it well. I would have to sit down, and go through everything and look in detail. I might make that a project, you never know lol. Right now, I am trying to get a few sites up and working, then I will take a better look when I get back from a road trip I have to do this weekend.

  7. I wouldn't even know where to go to change the general font color, without paying $25, that is ... which I don't have. Going back to some basic theme, that I can handle.
