Change name of sidebar widget tab

   I have successfully added the code I want to "custom 1" in the sidebar tabs widget of Structure, but would like to change the displayed tab name from "custom 1" to something else. I'm no programer, but I usually have pretty good luck through trial and error getting most of the changes I want accomplished in a wordpress theme. I'm not having any luck with this though. If I just change "custom 1" to what I want in the code, the tab either ends up blank or the site completely crashes. From where does the tab "grab" it's name?
