Canonical plugins list « Community

Welcome, guest!

Feel free to read the blog, browse for themes, or join the club.

The community forums are currently being phased out. At the end of February or early March 2012, you will no longer be able to post here. This is because the entire site is being restructured. Please use the main forums for discussions.

Canonical plugins list

  1. This is probably discussed before I started hanging out here, but with Matt and Automattic revealing their goal of making a canonical plugins list for WP, it might be a good time to discuss a such Hybrid specific list.

Much of the support requests are related to plugins and it would be nice with a Hybrid community which supported each other on using a short list of quality plugins with no or little issues with Hybrid. It might even be possible to fork and rewrite one or two to fit better with Hybrid as well if people are willing to put their time and skills together.

Its not something I`d like Justin to use much time on, but rather a community project.

    Any thoughts ?

  2. We've started a list of plugins in the support forums:

I was hoping to just build a huge list of plugins that work. Are you wanting to expand beyond this? If so, in what way?

I see a lot of potential in making a list of plugins, separated by the type of things they do, that work well with Hybrid. But, the list could also become massive considering that people use different plugins for all sorts of things.

  3. I`m thinking about a shorter list - hence canonical. Plugins that are recommended and of high quality and work great with Hybrid, not just plugins that work with Hybrid, cause there are thousand of those.
