Some of you have expressed interest in me building some BuddyPress themes on top of the Hybrid theme framework. I've always thought this was a great idea.
What is BuddyPress?
Basically, it's a set of WPMU plugins that turn it into a full-fledged social network, allowing user profiles and blogs.

Everything is modular, so you only use the components you want.
BuddyPress for WordPress (not MU)
What? BuddyPress will also be getting a release as a set of plugins for a typical WordPress install. This is going to be huge because many people have a hard time setting up WPMU. This will remove that entry barrier and allow more bloggers to enjoy setting up social networks.
I think the only thing that would be missing is the multi-blog functionality of MU. Of course, you probably still wouldn't want to run BuddyPress on a typical shared hosting setup.

Opening up the floor
BuddyPress is brand new, so there's not a lot that's been done as far as themes are concerned. Heck, I don't even know where to start.
So, I'm opening up the floor for all of you to share ideas, concepts, or anything.
