Allow Naming Home Sections « Community

Welcome, guest!

Feel free to read the blog, browse for themes, or join the club.

The community forums are currently being phased out. At the end of February or early March 2012, you will no longer be able to post here. This is because the entire site is being restructured. Please use the main forums for discussions.

Allow Naming Home Sections

  1. I'd like to be able to title Home Sections the same as we can with sidebar widgets.

  2. Just to add to this, I'm a Structure user but I'd like to be able to indicate that one section is "Recent Posts" for example as I've seen in some of the Options child themes.

  3. Good idea five points.
Unfortunatley I was to fast. I've already named all my sections manually :-)

  4. Five points. Default titles almost never make me happy.

  5. I have a post over on my blog that shows you how to change text strings to anything you want without touching a theme file and making it hard to upgrade:
    http://justintadlock.com/archives/2008/06/17/protecting-text-strings-from-theme-upgrades

Just in case anyone wants to check it out.

  6. Wow. I learn something new every time I come here. Thanks, Justin.
