The client is stoked, and I've largely got the Hybrid ecosystem to thank for that. Just in the last couple days I've started final polishing and I've had to do a lot of explicit over-riding of style settings that are imported from the Prototype style.css. Just simple stuff like borders, backgrounds and font styles, but it seems like an extra step that could be eliminated for future child theme authors if we let them import a really basic skeleton stylesheet that just floats the divs according to 2c-l, 3c-l etc and leaves the rest as markup defaults?
Justin Tadlock on "Removing title tag on a hybrid page template" http://themehybrid.com/community/topic/removing-title-tag-on-a-hybrid-page-template#post-3642 Wed, 20 Jul 2011 23:52:12 +0000 Justin Tadlock 3642@http://themehybrid.com/community/
This forum is for posting custom-made child themes for others to download. (Great resource here, thanks).

I have been working with Skeleton and Hybrid, learning and exploring. I have found the Skeleton style sheet of tremendous value, because of its organization and tabbed structure. I have a visual sense of the hierarchy immediately. A very effective organizing tool.

My idea: offer a Skeleton-type child for development to go along with some of the new Parent themes (Prototype, in particular). I understand that the trend is to create Parent themes, which I think makes great sense after reading some of the blog posts. To develop our own Child themes from these Parents, a companion Parent-Skeleton would, I think, be welcome.

Just a thought. --Bill
Justin Tadlock on "Opacity error in IE" http://themehybrid.com/community/topic/opacity-error-in-ie#post-3566 Fri, 13 May 2011 17:08:54 +0000 Justin Tadlock 3566@http://themehybrid.com/community/
I don't know what that is because I'm not a JavaScript programmer.

Nevertheless, questions such as this should be posted on the support forums. Nevertheless, I don't see it moving to use HTML5-only markup anytime soon. It really offers no benefit to most users and would most likely break some child themes. If a large enough portion of the Hybrid theme users wanted to make that move (80%+) now, I could see this as being something to consider.

Now, as far as the Hybrid Core framework goes, it has nothing to do with HTML.

As for CSS3, I'm not sure what you're asking about. You can use any version of CSS you want.
Shawn on "Irish Green Lawn Care Service (http://irishgreenlawncaremn.com)" http://themehybrid.com/community/topic/irish-green-lawn-care-service-httpirishgreenlawncaremncom#post-3523 Wed, 20 Apr 2011 21:28:57 +0000 Shawn 3523@http://themehybrid.com/community/
I developed this with IE8/9 in mind for Microsoft.
