Error Message Repeating

  1. Most likely, this is due to multiple calls to one of the following two bits of code:

    the_content();

    apply_filters( 'the_content', $some_content_goes_here );

    If you’re using a page builder plugin or a theme with a page builder feature built in, it’s most likely calling that second bit of code incorrectly.

  2. The reason I think it’s a page builder is because I’m seeing this HTML in your source code. Each one wraps the error message:

    <div class="element-container cf" data-style="" id="le_body_row_1_col_1_el_1"><div class="element"></div>

    <div class="element-container cf" data-style="" id="le_body_row_1_col_1_el_2"><div class="element"></div>

    <div class="element-container cf" data-style="" id="le_body_row_1_col_1_el_3"><div class="element"></div>
  3. Ok thanks.

    It’s a relatively new issue so it may be from a theme update.

    Any suggested workaround?

  4. The workaround would be to fix the issue. There’s not much we can do from this end. It needs to be corrected at the source.

    Generally, the best course of action is to:

    1) Deactivate all plugins to see if it corrects the issue. If so, reactivate them until you find the problem plugin.

    2) If a plugin is not the issue, it’s your theme. Test with one of the default Twenty* themes to be sure.

    When you figure out where the problem is coming from, I can take a look at the code in the theme/plugin to find the exact location of the issue.

  5. Hi Justin, I tested it, and it’s the theme. And when I take out the content from the page builder, the repetition goes away. I’ve come in halfway on this site, so it is what it is. Anything we can do on the plugin code side to help?

    Thanks
    Shaun

  6. No, there’s nothing that can be done in the plugin. The plugin works as it should. The only thing to do would be to correct the issue in the theme. If you can email me a ZIP copy of the theme (justintadlock [at] gmail.com), I’d be happy to look to see if I can find the issue.
